His wife, Dora, is a manager at an exclusive fashion house known throughout Europe and America. Joe and Dora are the parents of Ruth, the eldest, and Jason, two modern, polite, and intelligent teenagers. Living with the family is Dora’s mother, Katrin, a kind-hearted grandmother. Their close neighbor, Lieni, is a single woman who does her best to win the heart of bachelor Salvu, Katrin’s brother who has just returned from living in the United States. Joe’s colleagues at work have distinct personalities: Alan is a charming guy, always ready for a good laugh, Gwido speaks little but eats a lot, Petra is the target of most office jokes, while Mr. Callus, the manager, is a leader at work but a victim at home with his own wife.
