6.2TMDBThe show stars Mehran Modiri as Shir Farhad, the son of the khan, or leader, of Lower Barare. He lives with his sister, Saharnaz; mother, Shadone; and father, Salar Khan. The story begins when a journalist named Kiyanush from Tehran is arrested for writing an article critical of the government, escapes capture, and is then bitten by a snake. Shir Farhad discovers him collapsed and brings him to the village of Barare, nurses him back to health, and gradually introduces him to the town and other characters in the show, including the families of the Khans of Upper and Lower Barare, the flamboyant village poet Baguri, and the village doctor. As the series progresses, new characters such as the village gendarme and the Khan's son and daughter from Upper Barare, Keivun and Leilun, join the cast. Davune does not appear in this.
