Sesame Street is the Turkish adaptation of the children's program "Sesame Street." The show aired on TRT in Turkey at the end of the 1980s and the beginning of the 1990s for two seasons, capturing the attention of children during that time. It was broadcast twice daily on weekdays, once in the morning and once in the evening, with one of the airings being a repeat. The program, which educators and psychologists found extremely beneficial for preschool and early school-age children, was only prepared for two seasons, and TRT later settled for reruns of the old episodes in the following years. Set in a neighborhood environment, the show featured both real and Muppet characters. With its educational, instructive, and entertaining elements, it became a beloved program for preschool and early school-age children, turning into a cultural phenomenon during those years and securing its place among TRT classics. After leaving TRT Çocuk's summer screen, it returned to the airwaves.
