Scrapheap Challenge is an engineering game show produced by RDF Media and aired on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom. In the show, teams of contestants had 10 hours to build a working machine that could perform a specific task using materials found in a scrapheap. The format was adapted in the United States, where it was known as Junkyard Wars, becoming a completely different TV series. The US version was also produced by RDF Media and originally aired on The Learning Channel. Reruns have been broadcast on another Discovery network, the Science Channel.
