Rosie is a British sitcom written by Roy Clarke that aired from 1977 to 1981. It was filmed and set in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. The main character was PC Penrose, the titular "Rosie", a young and inexperienced police officer played by Paul Greenwood. The first series, consisting of seven episodes, aired in 1975 under the title The Growing Pains of PC Penrose, but it was revamped with a new title, setting, and theme song.
