Red vs. Blue, often abbreviated as RvB, is a comedic science fiction web series produced by Rooster Teeth Productions, distributed via the internet and DVD. The story revolves around two opposing teams fighting in a civil war set in the middle of a desolate box canyon (Blood Gulch), parodying first-person shooter games, military life, and science fiction films. After launching on its own website on April 1, 2003, the project unexpectedly gained popularity, initially planned for six to eight episodes. With its success, Rooster Teeth decided to continue the project.
