The Red Caps patrol adventures in each episode set in a different country. The patrol focuses on helping children and solving their problems. Opposing them is Santa's twin brother Basil and his assistant. In practice, the Red Caps Scout and Basil compete to see who can find the pieces of the magic crystal first and reassemble it. If the crystal pieces aren't found before the Christmas Star lights up, Santa won't be able to deliver gifts to the children of the world.
