Piet Piraat is the great-grandson of the famous pirate Karel Karolus Piraat. Grandpa Karolus once found a treasure. He hid the treasure in the ground and made a treasure map, but forgot to mark the location. Now Piet Piraat sails the vast waters with his ship 'De Scheve Schuit' in search of adventure. He is a tough sailor but has a heart of gold. However, Piet Piraat cannot do it alone; he has his three friends. They munch on chunks of bread on the crooked barge. That bread is baked by Berend Brokkenpap. His hearty bread is delicious, but his soup is far too weak. And they never sail lost, because the helmsman is Stien Struis! She's as strong as an ox, but as gentle as a mouse. And then there's Steven Quiet; you never hear him because he can't talk. Even if he really wanted to, he never sings along with the lie! These sailors are also there for each other during busy times. All hands are on deck for Piet Piraat and his crazy crew!
