Our story begins with the sudden shutdown of a popular online game called Yggdrasil, but our main character, Momonga, decides not to log out. Later, Momonga transforms into a skeletal being known as the 'Strongest Wizard.' The world continues to change, and the NPCs, characters created by the game, begin to feel emotions. This ordinary young man, who has no family, friends, or place in society, starts to strive to conquer this new game world.
