Although Cesur Ağa starts preparations for marriage, İlknur's heart belongs to someone else. On the night of their wedding, when İlknur tells the Ağa that she does not love him and does not want to be with him, Cesur goes mad. A gunshot is heard, and the next day, news spreads that the young woman has committed suicide. In response, the local dignitaries want to enforce tradition and choose İlknur's grieving sister, Ömür (Begüm Birgören), as Cesur Ağa's new wife.
