Kemal has been accused of murdering his wife's brother, unable to convince anyone of his innocence, and has served 21 years in prison, benefiting from good behavior and parole laws to be released after 7 years. While he was incarcerated, his wife Nihan divorced him and never visited him even once. Kemal has not seen his son, who was just 1 year old when he went to prison, for seven years and has received no news. Throughout this ordeal, he has clung to life with the hope of reuniting with his son. The only support he has had is from his high school friend Erhan and Erhan's lawyer sister Yaren. On the day Kemal is released from prison, he is shot by his former mother-in-law Ümran, who has fulfilled her vow of revenge. Nihan witnesses the moment her mother shoots her ex-husband Kemal. Her emotions are thrown into turmoil, but once again, she chooses her mother over him. Kemal returns to life, teetering between life and death, fueled by the dream of his son.
