NET Playhouse is an American dramatic television anthology series produced by National Educational Television. NET later merged with WNDT Newark, New Jersey to create WNET and was succeeded by the Public Broadcasting Service. This American television anthology series covers a wide range of genres, from history and drama to fantasy and science fiction. Each episode dramatizes fiction novels, stories, stage plays, fairytales, and historical events.
