Nancy Drew is a young and clever detective trying to solve the mysterious events in her hometown of Horseshoe Bay. The sudden death of Nancy's mother derails her college dreams. To reapply for college, she decides to first solve her mother's mysterious death. However, when one of the town's prominent figures is murdered, Nancy finds herself among the suspects. Other suspects include Nancy's school rival George Fan, the wealthy girl Bess Marvin with a mysterious past, Nancy's boyfriend Ned Nick Nickerson, and Ace. The five young people must come together to clear their names. However, the case they are trying to solve will plunge them deeper into mystery. All these events lead Nancy to a disagreement with her father, who is dating detective Karen Hart. Meanwhile, supernatural beings will not leave Nancy alone.
