Currently hosted by Andy Borg, the broadcast location varies among towns in different regions of Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. The show can be likened to a much larger German version of the UK 1970s entertainment show The Wheeltappers and Shunters Social Club. However, Musikantenstadl features a large ski lodge set rather than a social club.
