In 1958, Mrs. Maisel, living in New York's Upper West Side, has dedicated her life entirely to her husband Joel Maisel and the success of his stand-up comedy shows. However, when her life suddenly changes and Midge has to start over, she discovers a previously unknown talent - a talent that will take her to the comedy clubs of Greenwich Village.
