Bill Hodges is a detective intent on enjoying his retirement days. However, as the harassing messages and murders committed by a sociopathic killer named Brady Hartsfield increase, he puts his retirement on hold to pursue this murderer. As Hodges gets closer to the killer, he will also have to confront his own past.
