Many of these animals face mental as well as physical challenges, so the Primate Care Staff address their individual needs until they can be reintegrated with their own kind. The primates at the park include apes, who were taken from the wild as infants and used as props for photographers on Spanish beaches, as well as monkeys, many of which were rescued from the UK pet trade. With unparalleled access, Monkey World's dedicated team is filmed handling medical emergencies, primate relocations, births, and sometimes heart-wrenching decisions.
