After graduation, our main character Yesenia dreams of working with Rodion Meglin. He is a mysterious, secretive man, a solitary investigator with little known about his methods. When Yesenia becomes his trainee, she begins to realize that the essence of his method is that Meglin himself – is that of a maniac. He senses them instinctively. He is permitted to eliminate some of them, care for others, and save their lives. Our heroine, who was never meant to work alone, will go solo, confronting the most horrific crimes of the last decade.
