For many years, the Inhumans were mentioned as part of the Marvel cinematic universe, but last year it was announced that this plan had changed and the Inhumans would become a series on ABC. ABC, which is owned by Disney, also hosts the Agents of SHIELD series. The Inhumans series begins with a family possessing superpowers being ousted from their kingdom and focuses on their journey to reunite and regain their former powers. The first two episodes will premiere in many IMAX theaters worldwide starting September 1. The main broadcast will kick off with the first episode airing on ABC on September 29.
