Lost Girl follows the life of the supernatural seductress 'Bo' (Anna Silk). 'Bo' is actually a 'Succubus', a female demon that feeds on the sexual energies of mortals. She grew up alongside a human family, believing she was a normal girl until her first sexual encounter with her boyfriend, where he drained all her energy. Now alone on the road and scared, she later discovers that she is a 'Fae', a legendary group of creatures that have successfully kept their secrets until the millennium. When she learns she is not alone, she is horrified and decides to walk the middle path between 'Fae' and humans, taking it upon herself to uncover her past and where she came from, with the first step being to find her biological mother. In the series, Kris Holden-Reid plays the shape-shifting detective Dyson, Zoie Palmer portrays the human doctor Lauren who tries to help her through scientific means, and Ksenia Solo, a two-time Gemini Award winner, plays her best friend Kenzie. The cast also includes Rick Howard as Trick, a friendly but secretive bar owner, and Emmanuelle Vaugier.
