Longmire is a series based on Craig Johnson's Walt Longmire Mystery book series. It focuses on the charismatic, dedicated, and cool-headed sheriff Walt Longmire of Absaroka County (Wyoming), who is trying to recover after the death of his wife. The sheriff, the main character of the series, is portrayed by Australian actor Robert Taylor, whom we may remember from his role as Agent Smith in The Matrix, as well as films like Vertical Limit (2000) and Ned Kelly (2003), and Australian series like Satisfaction and Killing Time. Walt Longmire, a man who has been widowed for nearly a year, has buried his wife's sorrow deep in his heart behind his brave appearance. Since his wife's death, Longmire has been struggling with this pain and realizes, with the insistence of his daughter Cady (Freeman), that he must return to life once again.
