The series preparing to bring Jean Valjean's immortal story to the screen will take place on the eve of the French Revolution, showcasing both sides of the uprising. Comprising six episodes and featuring Lily Collins, Olivia Colman, David Oyelowo, and Dominic West in the lead roles, Les Misérables is brought to life by Andrew Davies, who previously adapted War & Peace. Iconic characters from the work, including Fantine, Madame Thénardier, Javert, Jean Valjean, Marius, Cosette, and Monsieur Thénardier, will be portrayed by Lily Collins, Olivia Colman, David Oyelowo, Dominic West, Josh O’Connor, Ellie Bamber, and Adeel Akhtar, respectively. It is a miniseries adapted from Victor Hugo's classic work.
