Set during the civil war between the Unitarians and Federalists in Córdoba in 1830, the historical series La Pulpera follows Fátima, the niece of the ousted Federalist leader Juan Bautista Bustos. After her stepfather is killed by the invading army, she and a group of women form a spy ring to undermine the Unitarians, led by General José María "el Manco" Paz. To execute her plan, Fátima infiltrates enemy lines, a perilous decision that leads her into a forbidden and dangerous romance with Manco Paz, putting her loyalty and her life at risk.
