Khemjira is a young girl expected to die before turning 21 due to her family's curse. Her mother traditionally names her "Khemjira," which means "always safe," in hopes of helping her overcome this curse. However, on her 19th birthday, Khem's life is turned upside down by supernatural events. Threatened by dark spirits and malevolent entities, Khem realizes she is not safe despite the protective amulet given by her mother. During this process, she meets Parun, a practitioner of white magic and a respected "Por Kru." Parun does everything in his power to break Khem's curse and protect her. Over time, a deep bond forms between the two. However, the rules that bind Parun as a white magic practitioner do not allow for romantic relationships, complicating their connection.
