However, this life changes completely when he begins to time travel into the past. These uncontrollable journeys bring various issues to Dan's work and family life. Initially thinking that what he experiences is a kind of hallucination, Dan realizes that the situation is more complicated than he thought as the time travel becomes more frequent. He tries to make sense of these journeys and find out their cause, but he gains nothing. The only person who can help Dan with his situation is his former girlfriend Livia, who he believed died years ago in a plane crash. Like Dan, Livia also travels through time. During the times they encounter in the past, she helps Dan understand his situation and the "missions" he needs to resolve.
