Set in the fictional Eastern Liang dynasty, circus performer Ye Ningzhi’s troupe enters the palace to stage a performance celebrating the empress dowager’s birthday. The ambitious grand princess (the emperor’s sister) decides to create chaos by framing her for treason, but the heroine is saved by strategist Wei Guang, and falls in love with him at first sight.
