Hey Hey It's Saturday was a long-running variety television program in Australia. It aired for 27 years, debuting on the Nine Network on October 9, 1971, and broadcasting its final episode on November 20, 1999. Daryl Somers was the host for its entire run, later becoming the executive producer of the show. Original producer Gavin Disney left in the 1980s, after which Somers co-founded his own production company, Somers Carroll Productions, with on-screen partner Ernie Carroll, who performed as Somers' puppet sidekick, Ossie Ostrich.
