In 2034, after a global apocalyptic disaster that has taken over the rest of the world and plunged it into chaos, Helgoland, Germany's only offshore island, becomes humanity's last safe haven. A totalitarian society has been established on the island, allowing only 513 people, and due to scarce resources, lives are evaluated through an inhumane 'social ranking' system based on their 'usefulness.'
