Isabel is abandoned at the door of an orphanage a few days after her birth. There, she grows up amidst the jokes of the other girls and the mistreatment from the harsh director known as "Justa." One day, her classmates show her a fake birth certificate stating that her father's name is Jesús García, that he is alive and lives in Mexico City. With the hope of finding a family, she escapes from the orphanage to search for her supposed father in Mexico City.
