Global Guts features competitors from various countries, including the United States of America (USA), Mexico, Great Britain, Israel, Germany, Spain, Portugal, and the Commonwealth of Independent States. Although multiple contestants represented each country, no country was ever represented twice in a single episode, except for the Special Olympic special, which featured 2 U.S. players. Each country had its own team of broadcasters; for instance, O'Malley continued this role for the US broadcast. The format remained the same as the original version, but the Mega Crag was upgraded to the Super Aggro Crag. In the "Spill Your GUTS" segments, non-English-speaking contestants spoke in their native language, with an interpreter translating their lines.
