Desafío is a reality show where a group of participants must survive, live together, and compete in four different stages for a substantial cash prize. These contestants are divided into three teams based on the theme chosen for each season. Social classes, generations, regions of the country, and levels of popularity are the elements used to define these groups. Another characteristic of the Challenge that contributes to the success of this format is that the living conditions in this competition are not fair. While one group spends their days in a beach house with servants and exquisite delicacies (High Beach), the other group suffers from a complete lack of shelter and food (Low Beach). In this reality, as in real life, the teams can either rise above or fall below their comfort levels, depending on their performance in the territorial Challenges.
