Danny Phantom is a 14-year-old boy whose life and adventures are depicted as he attends Casper High School and struggles with being unpopular. He lives with his ghost-hunting parents and his sister. At the request of his best friends, Sam and Tuck, he enters his family's ghost portal. Accidentally, he presses a button and is shocked to find his DNA altered by ectoplasm. Thus, he transforms into a ghost boy. Danny—who calls himself Danny Phantom—can fly in ghost form, become invisible, and pass through objects. As he learns to control his powers, he discovers new abilities.
