'Cuca Legal' tells the story of Mário Barroso, a single aviator entangled with three women at once: Virgínia, Irene, and Fátima. Virgínia is a wealthy businesswoman fixated on her late father's business; Irene is a middle-class young woman who gives private piano lessons; and Fátima is a poor widow. Mário struggles to decide which of them is the ideal woman to bear him a child with a "cool head" (cuca legal). Things become even more complicated when Maria Joaquina, nicknamed Kinu, Virgínia's mother, also captures the aviator's attention. To navigate the troubles he constantly finds himself in, Mário relies on the support of his mother, Dalva, and his close friend, Jacaré.
