Miyamo Chio is a first-year student at the completely ordinary Samejima Academy. Chio just wants to navigate her school life without drawing too much attention, but for some reason, all sorts of obstacles await her on her way to school. Her long-time friend Nonomura Manana, who is trying to quit being an otaku; the flawless Hosokawa Yuki, who holds the top position in the school; and many nameless people around town all cross Chio's path as she uses the (useless) techniques she's learned from her Western video games in her daily quest to get to school.
