Yurdanur Eroğlu's coming-of-age story begins with the university student events of the 1970s. Coming from a friend group distant from both right and left factions, Yurdanur loses his closest friend to a stray bullet during the chaos. The only helping hand extended in the ensuing turmoil is that of Mehmet Eroğlu. Mehmet is a young man affiliated with a leftist organization, and he will become Yurdanur's husband and Feriha's father as the story unfolds. These two young people fall in love irresistibly against the backdrop of the political events of the era. However, Yurdanur's father, Dinçer Bey, who is on the right side of the political spectrum, and his mother, Sema, will pose an obstacle for them.
