Bob the Builder is a British children's animated television show created by Keith Chapman. In the original series, Bob appears as a construction contractor specializing in masonry, alongside his colleague Wendy, various neighbors and friends, and their anthropomorphized work tools and equipment in a stop-motion animation format. The show airs in many countries, but it originates from the UK, where Bob is voiced by British actor Neil Morrissey. The show was later produced using CGI animation, starting with the spin-off series Ready, Steady, Build! Bob and his crew assist with renovations, construction, and repair jobs in each episode, as well as other projects when needed. The show emphasizes conflict resolution, teamwork, socialization, and various learning skills. Bob's catchphrase, echoed by other characters, is "Yes, we can!" This phrase is also the title of the theme song, which was a number one hit in the UK, selling over a million copies.
