Poor Nastya is a Russian telenovela that originally aired from October 31, 2003, to April 30, 2004, on STS. Set against the backdrop of the 19th century imperial era, the series achieved international success and was broadcast in Ukraine, China, Israel, Serbia, Georgia, Greece, Bulgaria, and over twenty other countries worldwide. With a budget of $11.8 million, it is the most expensive Russian television project of all time. A sequel was planned but has not yet been produced.
