Seven-year-old Melek lives with her mother Şule, who works in a brothel, and her cruel boyfriend Cengiz, enduring systematic abuse and torture. Despite her circumstances, the little girl tries to find happiness with her small rabbit Pamuk and the notebook where she writes her dreams, never giving up on the belief that her life will change completely one day. A special bond forms between the frail and neglected Melek and Zeynep, a photo artist who captures images of cranes and maintains a cold demeanor, rarely showing her emotions. While waiting for a project she submitted to a university to be approved, she has temporarily taken a paid teaching position at the school. She hasn’t been in contact with her sisters and mother for 10 years. Melek's abandonment leads Zeynep to completely alter her future plans.
