The lives of a group of local animal control workers are complicated by the fact that animals are straightforward, but humans are not. Leading the team is Frank, an opinionated and eccentric animal control officer who may not have a college degree but is still the most well-read person in the room. In his previous life as a cop, Frank attempted to expose corruption within his department, but his efforts got him fired, leaving him cynical and grumpy. Despite his rough exterior, he possesses an almost superhuman ability to understand animals.
