In her first lead television role, Leifer portrays a savvy, single businesswoman who has just opened an optometry shop in Miami with her best friend Renee. Here, Carol tries to maintain her sanity while dealing with her nearby parents, her girl-crazy brother, and her younger sister, who seems to be developing an odd crush on Vic Damone. Combine all of this with the many romances of Renee (who has never met a man she didn't like— a lot), and you get a pop culture comedy that finds big laughs in little moments.
