FBI agent Emily Byrne is on the verge of capturing a serial killer in Boston. However, she suddenly disappears. The search efforts for the agent yield no results, and Emily Byrne is presumed dead. Additionally, the killer, who confessed to murdering her, has received a life sentence. Her husband, Nick Durand, has given up hope of finding her and has started a new life. Six years have passed since Emily's disappearance. One night, Nick Durand receives a phone call that leads him and his team to a wooded area. Inside a glass cage filled with water in a cabin, they find Emily. She has seemingly returned from the dead, but there are many questions that need answers.
