Disney's successful animated series Zootopia continues to break records with its sequel, Zootopia 2, directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard. Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman return as Judy and Nick, while Ke Huy Quan expands the main cast with his character Gary, joined by renowned voice actors like Quinta Brunson, Fortune Feimster, Patrick Warburton, Andy Samberg, and David Strathairn.

Zootopia 2 achieved a stunning box office success quietly. The film grossed $1.87 billion worldwide, with $428 million from the domestic market and $1.442 billion from international markets. This achievement was enough to surpass major blockbusters like The Avengers, Avatar: Fire and Ash, and Top Gun: Maverick. Most importantly, Zootopia 2 surpassed Inside Out 2 to claim the title of the highest-grossing animated film in Hollywood history.

After its theatrical release, Zootopia 2 continued to prove its success when it began streaming on Disney+ in March. At the time of writing, the film ranks among the top ten most-watched films on Disney+ in the United States and holds the sixth position globally. Thus, the film has established a dominant position in the streaming world following its cinematic success.

Zootopia 2 has not only excelled at the box office but has also received great acclaim from critics. The film's 91% positive rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes attests to this success. Critics appreciated how the film balances its wild adventure with entertaining and charming elements while also addressing nuanced and significant themes. One critic wrote, "The outcome of this animated story is fun and charming, while also being slightly educational," while another commented, "Every frame of Zootopia 2 is filled with detail and movement, and everything looks completely right."
