Tom Hardy is a respected name in the film industry, always involved in successful projects. The British actor has played notable roles over the past decade, including the villain John S. Fitzgerald in the Oscar-winning film The Revenant alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, and he starred in last year's action thriller Havoc on Netflix. Now, however, one of his masterpieces from 2011, the film Warrior, will be available for free on the Plex platform 15 years later.

Warrior is a cult sports drama featuring Hardy as a former Marine who struggles with his inner demons while preparing for the biggest MMA tournament in history, called "Sparta." The tension escalates as his brother Brendan (Joel Edgerton) also signs up to fight in the tournament. When the film was released in 2011, it was described as an "impressive," "powerful," and "a wonderful character study brought to life with strong performances and solid writing," making Warrior one of the valuable productions of 2011.

However, the film was relatively overlooked in theaters, earning only $23 million globally and failing to recoup its $25 million budget. Fifteen years later, Hardy's rising popularity and the renewed love for the film have made it a must-watch production again. For those unfortunate enough to miss it, Warrior will be available for free on Plex starting May 1, 2026.

With Hardy's undeniable success, the actor has recently caught the attention of streaming services looking to acquire a comprehensive project catalog. The return of Warrior is linked not only to the film's quality but also to the growing interest of audiences in classic sports dramas. The film reaching a wide audience years later is a testament to the power of streaming platforms to rescue and revive cinematic legacies.

Among Hardy's recent successes is MobLand, a crime thriller promoted on Paramount+ in 2025, directed by Guy Ritchie in several episodes. The series, which features renowned British actors like Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, and Paddy Considine, was among the most-watched shows on Paramount+ last year. According to recent announcements, filming for the second season has been completed, and actor Emmett J. Scanlan described it as "Season 1 on steroids," stating, "There was an ambitious and fast pace, but despite being fast, you never felt rushed."
