Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's Wedding Party Smaller Than Expected
The Hollywood Reporter
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have officially tied the knot, and speculation about who would be present on their wedding day had increased leading up to the event. The couple united their lives on Friday, July 3, at Madison Square Garden in New York. Opting for a non-traditional approach to their wedding party, they chose to share this special moment only with close family members and friends.
There were claims that Swift's longtime best friend Abigail Anderson would be one of the bridesmaids. Anderson caught attention in a cream and burgundy dress she wore while leaving a hotel in New York on the wedding day. This dress was also seen worn by Laura Kruk, the fiancée of Kelce's former teammate Juju Smith-Schuster. While many names were mentioned from Kelce's side, the wedding party was organized in a quite simple manner.
The groom chose his brother Jason Kelce as his best man, while the bride selected her brother Austin Swift as her honor attendant. Comedian Adam Sandler officiating the ceremony added a unique touch to the event. Many friends, in addition to both families, were present at the wedding ceremony.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce stood out in custom-designed Christian Dior Haute Couture outfits. The garments, created in collaboration with Jonathan Anderson, the creative director of Dior's women's, men's, and haute couture collections, marked Anderson's first celebrity couture wedding dress. The couple also wore Christian Louboutin shoes, and Swift completed her look with Cartier jewelry. Pink signs reading "JUST&T MARRIED" at the wedding venue announced the couple's marriage, marking the first confirmation that the wedding had taken place. The heavy rain that followed the wedding in the city was interpreted as a good omen for the couple.
