Taylor Sheridan has kept the industry busy by releasing two distinct new projects at the beginning of 2024. The Madison and Marshals, while carrying elements that bear Sheridan's signature, cater to very different audiences. The Madison is an original Western production reminiscent of the first season of Yellowstone, featuring major stars like Kurt Russell and Michelle Pfeiffer. Marshals, on the other hand, is a direct spin-off of the Yellowstone universe, bringing Luke Grimes back to his role as Kayce Dutton. Sheridan has more Yellowstone spin-off projects planned for the future.

Although Sheridan is primarily known for the expansive and intricate Yellowstone universe, he has also written and directed several notable films. Notably, the adaptation of Tom Clancy's "Without Remorse" starred recent Oscar winner Michael B. Jordan in the lead role. The film, which faced issues upon its release, was directly released on Prime Video in 2021 and has since become one of the platform's most-watched content in many countries around the world. While Sheridan did not direct the film, he wrote the screenplay and designed the story. The film, directed by Stefano Sollima, who also directed the sequel to "Sicario", features Jodie Turner-Smith, Guy Pearce, and Jamie Bell.

"Without Remorse" follows John Kelly (Michael B. Jordan), an experienced Navy SEAL. Kelly embarks on a mission to avenge his wife's murder. However, he soon finds himself in the midst of a much larger conspiracy. Sheridan adapted the screenplay with significant changes from Tom Clancy's original novel, which led to the film receiving poor reviews from critics. The film scored low ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, with 45% from critics and 41% from audiences.

While the production bears similarities to another classic of Sheridan's, "Sicario", it also has DNA from the legendary "Jason Bourne" series. The high-paced action scenes, intrigue, and personal revenge motivations carry traces of both classic theatrical works. This combination makes the film an intriguing option for both intelligence thriller and action cinema enthusiasts.

Now available to watch on Prime Video, "Without Remorse" holds an important place among Taylor Sheridan's ongoing cinematic works. Stay tuned for more information on Sheridan's upcoming projects.
