Stephen King is known as one of Hollywood's most influential writers, not only for his own works but also as a great admirer of other productions. Recently, King shared his thoughts on social media, expressing high praise for Killing Faith, a lesser-known supernatural western starring Guy Pearce. Although the film had a limited release in theaters in October, it managed to become one of the most popular titles on platforms like Prime Video and Apple TV after its release on Hulu in March.

Killing Faith features DeWanda Wise among its cast and tells the story of a widowed doctor and a liberated woman and her daughter on a journey to find a healer in the West. While the doctor harbors suspicions of illness, the mother believes her daughter is possessed by a fairy. The official summary of the film states: "A widowed doctor accompanies a liberated woman and her daughter to find a distant healer in the West, struggling between the mother's belief in madness and the doctor's suspicion of illness, as everything the child touches dies."

Although the film did not achieve great success at the box office, it did not suffer significant financial losses due to its production cost of only 7 million dollars. It received a score of 76% from critics and 71% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes. These scores indicate that, despite being overlooked in theaters, the film is a quality production.

Stephen King's endorsement is quite valuable for lesser-known productions like Killing Faith to gain attention. Particularly active on social media, King does not hesitate to share quality projects he notices with his followers. As a result, thanks to the author's positive review, the film has reached a wider audience on streaming platforms and gained popularity.

In 2026, other major projects for Stephen King are also anticipated. Notably, the Carrie series, written and directed by renowned horror filmmaker Mike Flanagan, will be released on Prime Video. Flanagan is also the writer of the upcoming Clayface film in the DCU, and Carrie stands out as one of the most anticipated horror series of the year. The series will feature talented actors such as Amber Midthunder, Matthew Lillard, and Samantha Sloyan, and is planned to be showcased on Prime Video by the end of 2026.
