The legendary Star Trek character Worf is making his return this October after a long hiatus. However, don't expect a typical space adventure this time. The new four-part series takes the franchise into the thriller-horror realm, presenting one of the darkest stories yet, fitting for the Halloween season.

A new Star Trek adventure begins in Deep Space 9 this October, an event fans won't want to miss. Led by writer Alex Segura, artist Bailie Rosenlund, and colorist J. P. Jordan, Star Trek: Holo-ween II will run throughout October as a special four-part mystery event for Halloween. The first issue will be released on October 7, with subsequent episodes on October 14, 21, and 28.

In the series, the iconic Star Trek character Worf joins fan favorites Dax, Odo, and Bashir. On the brink of a high-stakes diplomatic summit, "Deep Space 9 is plunged into chaos by a sudden communication blackout and a series of extremely disturbing events." With the station's high-ranking leadership far away, Worf, Dax, Odo, and Bashir must keep Deep Space 9 afloat as tensions rise among incoming guests.

The official synopsis for Star Trek: Holo-ween II #1 indicates that the situation worsens with the arrival of a starship, which claims that a crew member of Deep Space 9 is accused of murder. This development heightens the existing tensions on the station, as suspicion and paranoia spread rapidly. Additionally, the synopsis reveals that "in the station's holosuites, something has gone horribly wrong..." clearly indicating that this Star Trek Halloween event will present a terrifying locked-station tension.
