Disney+ has approved a new documentary series from Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. This series will focus on the Australian sailing team owned by Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. The duo jointly manages the SailGP's Bonds Flying Roos racing team. The documentary will follow the Flying Roos as they experience a "global racing season filled with speed, pressure, and high risks." The media release included the statement, "A stadium-style championship where 50-foot catamarans race at speeds of up to 100 km/h on nearshore courses."

SailGP is a sailing racing league officially known as the Rolex SailGP Championship. The Australian team owned by Jackman and Reynolds is led by Tom Slingsby, an Olympic gold medalist, America's Cup winner, and three-time SailGP champion. This documentary will provide viewers with a unique perspective on the thrilling world of sailing.

Jackman and Reynolds humorously stated, "This is our first collaboration after Deadpool and Wolverine, and we expect action, comedy, and heartfelt moments again, but this time there will be much more water. And (hopefully) there will be pirates too."

This documentary for Disney+ will be produced in collaboration with Reynolds' Maximum Effort and Eureka Productions, along with SailGP and the Bonds Flying Roos team. Brent Hodge will be involved as director and showrunner. Eric Schrier said, "Following the journey of Ryan, Hugh, and SailGP's Bonds Flying Roos Australia team provides extraordinary insight into what it takes to compete at the highest level in this exciting sport."
