In his new film "The Get Out," Russell Crowe is trying to escape his life filled with crime. In the new trailer for the film, previously known as "Bear Country," Crowe portrays a character in a tough situation. "The Get Out" will hit theaters on June 26 and will be available on digital platforms and video-on-demand services on June 30.
In the trailer, Crowe, speaking with a thick accent, appears as Marco Kapak, an Albanian-American nightclub owner. He has a successful, beautiful girlfriend (Teresa Palmer, "The Fall Guy") and is also making money from laundering for local crime bosses. However, his heart health isn't doing well, and his doctor (Jolene, "Star Trek: Enterprise") advises him to make some changes. As a result, Marco decides to pursue a legitimate business. Unfortunately, this plan is thwarted by a couple of "Point Break" fans, played by Aaron Paul from "Breaking Bad" and Nina Dobrev from "The Vampire Diaries"; this duo decides to rob Marco.
At the same time, a mysterious stranger (Luke Evans, "Nine Perfect Strangers") wants to buy his club. As Marco tries to find his inner peace, the challenges he faces do not lead him down a very peaceful path. The film promises to deliver thrilling moments while questioning the fine line between crime and morality. "The Get Out" could be a new turning point in Crowe's career, aiming to connect audiences with a profound story.
