Warner Bros. has begun early-stage work on a Rick and Morty movie. It has been confirmed that Jacob Hair, a seasoned name in the franchise, is in talks to direct. Details about the film are still being kept under wraps, but Dan Harmon, who co-created the Adult Swim series with Justin Roiland, has long been discussing plans for a "super cool" feature-length episode.

Rick and Morty continues to engage audiences as an Emmy-winning adult animated series with its ninth season premiering on May 24. The show follows the interdimensional adventures of genius, alcoholic scientist Rick Sanchez and his anxious grandson Morty Smith, as they navigate suburban family life and an infinite multiverse.

Previously, Justin Roiland provided the voices for Rick and Morty, but he left the series in 2023 due to allegations. Currently, the characters of Rick and Morty are voiced by Ian Cardoni and Harry Belden, respectively. Jacob Hair has directed many episodes of the series since 2019 and has served as a supervising director.

In addition to Rick and Morty, it is reported that a spin-off project titled President Curtis, starring Keith David, is also in development for Adult Swim. The series has been on air since 2013 and has a large fan base.
